We have an opportunity for a Learning and Development Specialist on FCBB. This role will include the proposal and coordination of the learning activities, including releasing communications, developing programs, and responding to volunteers' and manager inquiries on program availability, schedules, etc.
The Learning and Development Specialist will develop training programs and learning materials using a variety of learning methodologies designed to support FCBB’s need, self-directed and web-based delivery mediums. It is expected to have creativity in all design elements to create an interactive and effective learning experience.
The professional will join a team of dedicated professionals in a non-profit environment, enabling the organization to achieve its goals.
- Propose learning activities based on needs analysis and focused on FCBB goals and strategic planning;
- Respond to volunteers' and manager inquiries on program availability and schedules;
- Develop self-directed and web-based training programs, including learning materials, using a variety of learning methodologies and techniques.
- Develop, organize and coordinate development activities, considering volunteers' interests and needs, leveraging volunteers' and partners' expertise and establishing new collaborations;
- Measure the effectiveness of the learning solutions;
- Communicate and promote learning and development activities to volunteers;
- Evaluate and update current process, learning materials, policies and procedures;
- Keep files organized, preserving the information and assuring that it is available to the interested parties;
- Research and share best practices with the team;
- Support and conduct processes' improvement related to succession planning/career development and volunteers' engagement and retention;
- Identify and propose opportunities to increase the volunteers' development activities;
- Provide support to other HR areas, conducting needs analysis;
● Participate in General, Area and Team Meetings.
- Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related areas;
- Knowledge of effective learning and development methodologies and best practices;
- Knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training methodologies (certification is desirable);
- Proficiency with learning management systems and e-learning tools, with experience with Moodle highly desirable;
- English and Portuguese proficiency (both oral and written)
- 2 years of Learning and Development experience is required;
- Creativity for the design of interactive and effective learning experiences;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities;
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential material;
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented;
- Shows initiative;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Gsuite;
- Working knowledge of video editing.
