Objective
We are seeking an energetic candidate to join FCBB`s team in the role of Web Developer.
As a Web Coordinator with WordPress expertise, you will play a crucial role in designing and maintaining our website to effectively communicate our mission, impact, and programs. You will work closely with our team to create engaging and user-friendly web experiences that drive our cause forward and connect with our supporters.
The professional will join a team of dedicated professionals in a non-profit environment, enabling the organization to achieve its goals
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development
- Design visually appealing and functional website layouts, user interfaces, and visual elements using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
- Develop and maintain our WordPress website, including theme customization, plugin management, and content updates.
- Ensure websites are responsive, accessible, and optimized for both performance and search engine visibility.
Content Management
- Collaborate with the communications team to create and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements.
- Implement and manage features that support our programs and campaigns, such as donation forms, event registration, and volunteer sign-ups.
Client Interaction
- Work closely with staff members to gather requirements, understand their needs, and provide design solutions that align with our goals.
- Present design concepts and updates, incorporating feedback to refine and improve the website.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure websites function correctly across different devices and browsers.
- Stay informed about best practices in web design and development, including trends in non-profit digital engagement.
Requirements
Experience
- Proven experience as a Web Designer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects, preferably for non-profits or similar organizations.
- Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin customization, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Skills
- Strong visual design skills with an understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles.
- Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.

- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce) and custom post types in WordPress.
- Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL for advanced customization.
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
